A Grade: Hay 46 defeated Macorna 13
The A Grade team played a very well drilled game this week and gave the spectators the opportunity to see how skilled these girls are. Both teams started off well but the defence of each team kept the score to 5-7 Hay’s way. After some positive words from the coach the Hay girls came out on fire and managed to keep Macorna to 1 goal in the 2nd quarter and at the half time break Hay lead 21 to 6. As usual the dynamic duo defence team of Chloe Slattery (Players Player) and Ruby Stewart (South Hay Hotel Coach’s Award) were a nightmare for the Macorna shooters and kept them to 13 goals for the entire game. Bridget Austerberry (Anthony Slattery Fireworks Best On Court Award) controlled the centre court and lead her team to victory, she ensures the ball moves from one end of the court to the other with speed and accuracy.
